Talent Frame are pleased to be hiring a Business Development Manager for a leading global Law Firm. This strategic position involves supporting the firm’s growth in key practice areas and sectors, fostering cross-practice collaboration, and leading initiatives to strengthen market presence and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic business development plans across the practice area.
  • Drive firmwide initiatives for the sector, including campaigns, thought leadership, events and client engagement activities.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with partners, practice groups and sector teams to foster collaboration, trust and shared strategic goals.
  • Identify growth opportunities through market analysis, client feedback and industry trends to generate fresh initiatives that support long-term practice development.
  • Manage and optimise pitches, tenders and credentials processes to enhance win rates and overall success.
  • Develop budgets for BD activities, monitor performance and recommend adjustments to meet objectives.
  • Coach and mentor junior colleagues in developing their BD skills and strategies to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Support firmwide BD projects, including client relationship management and targeting strategies, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience in business development within a legal or professional services environment, a focus on insurance would be helpful.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, capable of engaging at partner level and across teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking with an innovative approach to growth and client engagement.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to craft persuasive messages and content.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and delivering integrated BD plans aligned with firm goals.
  • Skilled in managing multiple initiatives, with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.
  • Leadership qualities demonstrated through coaching, mentoring, and managing junior colleagues.
  • Analytical, relationship-driven, adaptable, and self-motivated.
