Talent Frame are delighted to be working with a global Law Firm to hire a Senior Business Development Manager specialising in Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations (LAI). This strategic role offers an exciting opportunity to shape growth initiatives, foster client relationships, and lead innovative BD strategies within a dynamic legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive BD strategies aligned with the firm’s overall growth objectives for the LAI practice.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with LAI partners and key stakeholders to support strategic goals and client engagement.
- Manage and oversee the execution of BD initiatives, monitoring progress and tweaking tactics to maximise outcomes.
- Align client targeting and market strategies with sector priorities, refining approaches based on market trends and data insights.
- Establish and track KPIs to evaluate BD effectiveness, driving continuous improvement based on performance metrics.
- Build and maintain connections across global BD teams, ensuring local strategies benefit from and contribute to wider firm initiatives.
- Lead the preparation of impactful pitches and panel submissions, collaborating with proposal teams to craft compelling, client-centred proposals.
- Utilise practice data and market intelligence to identify cross-selling opportunities and monitor pipeline health.
- Leverage client feedback and market insights to adapt and optimise BD plans proactively.
- Mentor and support junior BD colleagues, fostering professional development and enhancing team capabilities.
Person Specification
- Significant experience in business development within legal services, particularly in Litigation, Arbitration, and Investigations.
- Demonstrated success in devising and executing strategic BD initiatives aligned with firm-wide aims.
- Proven ability to identify growth opportunities, with aptitude for cross-practice and cross-sector development.
- Strong relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders, including partners and high-value clients.
- Experience leading or influencing BD teams across multiple jurisdictions.
- Skilled in utilising data and market insights to inform strategic decisions and pipeline development.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and with diverse functions.
- Capable of creating persuasive proposals and leading high-stakes pitches.
- Strategic thinker with excellent organisational and communication skills.
