Talent Frame are delighted to be working exclusively with a US Law Firm to hire a Senior Events Manager for a 15 month contract. This position involves leading the strategic planning and execution of high-profile events, both internal and external, that support business development, client engagement, and firm culture. The successful candidate will oversee complex, multi-office programmes and stakeholder relationships to deliver memorable and impactful events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement event strategies aligned with the firm’s objectives, ensuring consistency across all event types.
  • Plan, manage, and deliver a wide range of events including client programmes, seminars, conferences, webinars, social gatherings, and internal meetings.
  • Coordinate cross-office and virtual event logistics, working closely with stakeholders and vendors to ensure seamless execution.
  • Research and recommend venues, formats, themes, and vendors; lead site visits and negotiate contract terms.
  • Create detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, proactively managing risks and dependencies to meet deadlines.
  • Build and lead event teams, delegating responsibilities effectively while overseeing external vendors and technology platforms.
  • Manage event budgets, monitor expenses, reconcile costs, and produce post-event reporting to optimise outcomes and costs.
  • Maintain comprehensive records, dashboards, and reporting tools to track event performance, attendance, and engagement metrics.
  • Enhance event processes by developing and updating standard operating procedures and adopting new technologies and practices.
  • Analyse event data to provide insights and recommendations that support continuous improvement and strategic decisions.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience in event management within professional services, preferably law firms or corporate environments.
  • Good people management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to oversee multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Sound financial knowledge for managing budgets, negotiating contracts, and controlling costs.
  • Experience leading diverse teams and managing external vendors and partners.
  • Good understanding of event technology platforms (e.g., Cvent, Webex, ON24, OnArrival).
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage time effectively under pressure.
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach.

Salary: £90,000-£110,000
