Talent Frame are pleased to be hiring a Senior Business Development Manager for a leading Law Firm within their Disputes team. The successful candidate will oversee strategic growth initiatives across dispute resolution, investigations, and litigation practices, providing leadership and expert advisory support to drive firm-wide business development success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement integrated business development and marketing strategies aligned with the firm’s overall objectives for key practice areas.
  • Act as a primary senior adviser to partners and leadership, supporting commercial planning, market positioning, and opportunity development.
  • Lead the creation and execution of high-impact client engagement activities, including pitches, proposals, and events.
  • Manage the production of quality content for thought leadership, awards, directories, and media, ensuring consistency and strategic messaging.
  • Oversee and monitor budgets, ensuring investments deliver measurable return on investment and impact.
  • Drive participation in external partnerships, sponsorships, and networks to enhance profile and revenue streams.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key clients and stakeholders; leverage insights to identify cross-sell opportunities and improve client satisfaction.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the business development team, maintaining high standards and continuous improvement across activities.
  • Ensure quality control, confidentiality, and compliance with data protection policies across all outputs.

Person Specification

  • Extensive professional services experience, particularly within dispute resolution, investigations, or litigation-facing practices.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing business development and marketing teams effectively.
  • Strong strategic planning, budgeting, and performance analysis skills, with the ability to interpret data to demonstrate impact.
  • Excellent project and stakeholder management skills, with experience handling high-profile, sensitive initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of crafting compelling narratives and shaping strategic messaging.
  • Well-organised and able to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build credibility with senior partners and external clients through relationship management and consultative approaches.
  • Knowledge of the legal and professional services environment, including market trends and competitive landscape.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and inclusive leadership style, fostering teamwork and professional development.
