Talent Frame are delighted to be working with a leading UK Law Firm to hire a Senior Marketing & Business Development Executive. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Marketing and Business Development professional to take ownership of marketing and BD activity across a number of key practice areas. The successful candidate will work closely with Partners and fee-earners to develop and deliver strategic plans, identify new business opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and support the firm’s continued growth.
The firm has a long-standing reputation for specialist legal expertise, with roots dating back to 1841, and is recognised by Legal 500 and Chambers UK across a range of practice areas. You will join a collaborative and close-knit Marketing and Business Development team covering business development, tenders and pitches, client development, events, digital marketing, PR, thought leadership and responsible business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement marketing and business development plans and budgets across a group of practice areas.
- Act as a senior point of contact for Partners and fee-earners, providing strategic advice and support on marketing and business development activity.
- Lead regular business development meetings, monitoring progress against plans and identifying new opportunities.
- Identify market trends, hot topics and opportunities to strengthen the firm’s profile and reputation.
- Develop and deliver thought leadership campaigns in collaboration with lawyers and the wider Marketing team.
- Manage and support a range of practice-specific events, conferences and client activities.
- Support the development of pitches, tenders, credentials, directory submissions, award submissions and other marketing collateral.
- Track and report on new business opportunities and targets generated through marketing and business development activity.
- Conduct client, competitor and market research to inform business development strategies.
- Work closely with Client Development colleagues to identify opportunities to strengthen existing client relationships.
- Identify and facilitate cross-selling and client-sharing opportunities across the firm.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the sectors in which the firm operates and proactively identify opportunities for growth.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Marketing and BD team, supporting wider initiatives and priorities as required.
- Provide coaching and guidance to junior members of the team.
Person Specification
- 3–5 years’ experience within a Marketing and Business Development environment, ideally within a professional services or law firm setting.
- Proven experience developing and delivering marketing and business development plans and budgets.
- Experience working directly with Partners, senior stakeholders and fee-earners.
- Strong business development experience, with a good understanding of how marketing activity can support commercial growth.
- Experience managing events, projects and campaigns from planning through to delivery.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing consistently high-quality work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Established stakeholder management and relationship-building experience.
- A proactive, flexible and solutions-focused approach.
- Creative and commercially minded, with the ability to identify new approaches and opportunities.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider team while also managing an autonomous workload.
- Comfortable working closely with Partners and providing advice, ideas and strategic support.
- Willingness to learn and develop within a professional services environment.
What’s on Offer

The successful candidate will also be required to travel between the firm’s offices and other locations as needed to support key activities and events.
