Talent Frame are pleased to be hiring a Senior BD Manager within the Real Estate space for a London Law Firm. The successful candidate will develop and drive strategic business development initiatives to enhance the firm’s profile within the Real Estate sector, fostering opportunities for growth and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute structured business development plans aligned with the firm’s objectives and campaigns.
  • Articulate and promote the firm’s strategy, priorities, and branding across relevant activities.
  • Manage and support a BD Executive, providing guidance, mentoring, and professional development.
  • Identify and lead initiatives and campaigns to raise the firm’s profile within targeted markets.
  • Cultivate internal collaboration and cross-selling opportunities to optimise client and market engagement.
  • Organise and oversee external campaigns, including content creation, events, and PR activities, working with communications partners as needed.
  • Modernise existing BD activities, implementing efficiency improvements where possible.
  • Lead on directory listings, awards submissions, and external recognitions to enhance visibility.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify key opportunities to present the firm at industry events and conferences.
  • Chair practice-specific BD meetings, providing updates on activities and future strategies.
  • Manage end-to-end pitch processes, including qualification, preparation, and delivery, following newly implemented protocols.
  • Coordinate with legal teams to ensure accurate deal and project information for external announcements and credentials.
  • Oversee budget planning and tracking to ensure optimal resource utilisation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external market participants, including publications and associations.
  • Support ‘Next Gen’ initiatives with the associate team, contributing to ongoing innovation.
  • Work alongside the BD team to streamline administrative processes, utilising CRM systems effectively.
  • Establish best practice across BD activities, continuously assessing ROI and sharing insights with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the Key Client Programme, maximising cross-selling and delivering exceptional client service, especially within the Real Estate practice.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the real estate market through research, industry events, and networking.

Person Specification

  • Extensive experience in a professional services environment, preferably within partnerships or law firms, with a focus on Real Estate.
  • Proven leadership capability with successful line management experience.
  • Highly organised with excellent ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels, building credible and impactful relationships.
  • Proactive, decisive, and results-oriented with a positive outlook.
  • Strategic thinker with creative problem-solving skills.
  • Reliable and committed to seeing projects through to completion.
  • Skilled in project management, with a history of delivering complex initiatives.
  • Passionate about mentoring and supporting team development.
  • Commercially aware, with an understanding of client needs and internal dynamics.
  • Experienced in managing pitches and similar business development projects.
  • Versatile team player capable of contributing to strategic discussions as well as hands-on execution.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
