Senior BD Manager (Litigation)

Talent Frame are pleased to be hiring a Senior Business Development Manager role for a global Law Firm. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead strategic growth initiatives for a leading Commercial Litigation practice, supporting an established and high performing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic business development plans for the Commercial Litigation practice.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with practice group leaders and key stakeholders to align on growth opportunities.
• Mentor and manage a BD team, fostering a collaborative environment and supporting their professional development.
• Lead client relationship management, including key account development and cross-practice collaboration.
• Oversee the creation of tailored marketing materials, credentials, tenders, and submissions, ensuring they reflect the firm’s expertise.
• Organise and deliver high-quality client events and industry engagement activities to enhance the firm’s profile.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market themes to inform strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to maximise external visibility through thought leadership and awards.
• Manage budgets and timetables, ensuring all projects meet deadlines and quality standards.

Person Specification

• Proven experience in business development within a professional services environment, ideally within legal or consultancy sectors.
• Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational skills with a track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in line management and team leadership, supporting development of junior colleagues.
• High level of commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
• Confident communicator with exceptional written and verbal skills.
• Proactive, resilient, and adaptable, with a positive approach towards new ideas and challenges.
• Familiarity with litigation or complex professional services sectors is advantageous.
