Senior BD Manager

The Talent Set are delighted to partner with our client on a fantastic Senior Business Development & Marketing Manager role. This position involves driving strategic growth across key practice areas, supporting market positioning, and leading initiatives to enhance business opportunities within the firm’s Transaction practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the business development strategy tailored to Capital Markets, Finance, Restructuring and Insolvency, and IP/Tech/Cyber sectors.
• Identify growth opportunities, monitor market trends, and ensure the practice leads in visibility and reputation.
• Lead on preparing compelling pitches, proposals, and marketing materials to attract new mandates and differentiate the firm.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with target clients and cross-sell services to expand existing accounts.
• Coordinate marketing campaigns, content creation, and distribution to generate leads and support brand positioning.
• Support the firm’s winning of new work through strategic targeting and pipeline management.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a direct report, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Person Specification

• Extensive experience in business development within a professional services or legal environment, preferably with exposure to transactional or sector-specific practices.
• Demonstrable ability to develop strategic plans, execute client targeting initiatives, and lead high-impact pitches.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organisational and project management abilities, with keen attention to detail.
• Proven experience in managing teams, mentoring colleagues, and fostering a positive team culture.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Flexibility to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.

What’s on Offer
Salary: £100-120k depending on experience
