The Role

Reporting to the Business Development Manager and working closely with senior stakeholders, the Business Development Executive will play a key role in supporting the delivery of strategic BD activity across a market-leading practice group.

The position offers excellent exposure to partners and the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of business development and marketing initiatives, contributing to both client development and wider team objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with senior stakeholders and the BD Manager to support the delivery of business development initiatives and client development activity.

Support and lead on pitches and proposals, including coordination, drafting and sourcing relevant credentials and materials.

Collaborate with wider BD teams to support large-scale and panel pitch opportunities.

Track pitch activity and ensure outcomes and feedback are captured and shared.

Assist with the coordination and delivery of directory and award submissions, working with key stakeholders to gather and refine content.

Maintain and update internal credential systems, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.

Manage website content, including matter highlights and lawyer profiles.

Coordinate client events and seminars, including logistics, communications and post-event follow-up.

Support the development and maintenance of marketing materials, including capability statements and key collateral.

Assist with drafting internal and external communications, including announcements and articles.

Provide general support on BD projects, campaigns and ad-hoc requests from stakeholders.

Person Specification

Approximately 18 months+ experience within a business development or marketing role, ideally in a professional services environment.

Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Confident working with senior stakeholders and building effective working relationships.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented.

A collaborative team player with a positive and flexible approach.

Experience working within a partnership environment is advantageous but not essential.
