Talent Frame are working with a forward-thinking law firm to hire a Business Development Manager in Bristol. This pivotal role involves shaping and executing strategic initiatives to enhance client engagement, drive market positioning, and support sustainable growth within a dynamic legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive business development and marketing plans aligned with firm-wide strategies.
  • Support client relationship growth by collaborating with key engagement teams and sector leaders.
  • Manage BD budgets efficiently, maximise ROI, and track progress against goals.
  • Coordinate communication campaigns, including marketing materials, webinars, events, and public relations activities, to elevate firm visibility.
  • Lead the creation of compelling proposals, bids, and pitch presentations to attract new clients and opportunities.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with industry bodies and intermediaries to expand the firm’s network.
  • Utilise CRM and other marketing technologies to segment audiences and optimise outreach efforts.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative legal products in partnership with specialist teams.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless delivery of BD initiatives, supporting firm growth targets.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience in business development or marketing within professional services, ideally legal or financial sectors.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with credibility in engaging senior stakeholders.
  • Commercial awareness with an understanding of business and industry issues impacting clients.
  • Proactive, confident, and solution-oriented approach.
  • Experience with marketing technologies, proposal writing, and event planning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and build trusted relationships across the organisation.
