Talent Frame are pleased to be working with a leading law firm to recruit a Business Development Manager for either their Bristol or Edinburgh office. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support growth across key practice areas, leveraging strategic initiatives and fostering client relationships within a dynamic legal environment. The areas of focus are Tech, Corporate and Tax so knowledge of these areas would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop growth opportunities for the firm’s legal services across selected sectors.
- Support lawyers in creating and executing business and marketing plans tailored to their practice areas.
- Assist in producing sales and marketing materials, including capability statements, pitches, proposals, and online content.
- Develop strategic plans targeting current and prospective clients, referrers, and market segments.
- Monitor market trends and assist in defining the firm’s unique selling propositions to enhance market positioning.
- Collaborate with marketing colleagues on campaigns, ensuring alignment with business development goals.
- Review and measure the effectiveness of business development activities, providing insights for continuous improvement.
- Build trusted relationships with senior lawyers and stakeholders, influencing decision-making with diplomacy.
Person Specification
- Proven experience in business development, marketing, or client relationship management, ideally within a professional services environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging diverse teams.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A proactive approach with the ability to think strategically and translate ideas into actionable plans.
- Sound understanding of market trends and the ability to articulate the firm’s service offerings compellingly.
- Diplomatic and tactful in influencing and building rapport with senior colleagues and clients.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative environment and supporting cross-practice initiatives.
